A study has shown that children who survive cancer are more likely to develop heart disease when they get older. They could suffer from heart failure, heart attacks, inflammation of the heart, and heart valve abnormalities. Experts say that children who survive cancer need to continued to be monitored. It is sad that when you survive something like cancer that you are still at risk for another disease.
