Please note that earlier today (5/19) the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) reported that the Knoxville, TN based Cancer Fund of America (CFOA) has been charged with portraying themselves as a real charity. Litigation is in progress. There are multi-million dollar fines.
We at the American Cancer Fund are delighted to hear this news as we have a similar name but we have no connection what so ever with this fake charity. We are a respected and honest cancer education organization.
On many occasions we have heard from the elderly victims of CFOA and we are delighted that charges are finally being brought against those who harass and mislead donors. The charity has been closed down for good.
